Madera Tribune

A completely new resource for me is a six-year-old web effort at awarding honors for taking pictures on September 11, 2001, and its aftermath. While nothing of particular interest is readily apparent, the imagery does help flesh out a skimpy narrative.

What in the hell is this ten-image item, I thought? Looking things up is so easy with Google.
Founded March 31, 1892, the Madera Tribune is published daily, except Sundays and legal holidays, by Madera Printing and Publishing Co., Inc.

Adjudicated a newspaper of general circulation in accordance with the laws of California by decree number 4875 of the Superior Court of Madera County dated November 9, 1966, and qualified for the publication of matters required by law to be published in a newspaper.
This image isn't even in focus. I know how to use the "portrait in a landscape" function on my camera, why can't this award applicant? Here---here is a photograph of the staff of the Madera Tribune. One of these people probably took this image and is seeking honors for it. This staff portrait is in focus and at a high-enough resolution. Get my point?
